Ristorante Amarone is a genuine Italian restaurant. The chef is Italian from Bardolino, a small town on the west coast of Garda Lake, near Verona and the menu is typically northern Italian. All pastas are hand-made as well as bread and all desserts. Many products used here are imported from Italy such as Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Parma, Mascarpone cheese, Balsamic vinegar aged , Cafe' Illy, Colavita extra virgin olive oil, Mozzarella di bufala cheese and many wines, especially the Amarone. A wide variety of Italian style aperitifs and cocktails (Martini and Campari based) are served here and is suggested having them on the terrace facing the best part of the Cabo San Lucas' marina in Plaza Puerto Paraiso.

The favorite wine of the roman emperor Augustus was the " Retico". Tedoricus, the condottiere grown-up at the Constantinople's court, an expert in Greek and Mediterranean wines, loved very much the "Acinatico"; this two wine's production techniques were described, especially the withering of grapes, by Teodoricus' minister, named Cassiodorus. From "Acinatico" comes the "Amarone", a unique wine, and its technique has been the same in the last 15 centuries. The vine that gives grapes used to produce the Amarone is cultivated only in the green hills surrounding the city of Verona, Italy.

The name of our restaurant is a tribute to this great wine.

The Amarone is a wine that perfectly match typical flavors such as grilled red meats, lamb, beef stews and mature cheeses, and it is as well used in many typical recipes of our town. Nevertheless, the extraordinary concentration of cherry and raspberry scent, as well as those more delicate of raisin and spices, allow Amarone to be fascinatingly combined with many other dishes.

This restaurant is named after Amarone wine made out of grapes exclusively cultivated on the hills surrounding the city of Verona in Italy (Romeo and Juliet...remember?). Besides being a perfect match to a fine Italian dinner, this unique wine is used in different dishes by chef Titta (from Verona...of course). Sitting in the confortable and soft atmosphere of the interior or enjoying the garden outside, you'll be delighted by Amarone traditional cuisine from Northern Italy. The original and autentic taste of the receipes is due to the fresh ingredients imported from homeland. All except for pasta, which is fresh homemade every day , as bread and dessert. You can choose from a variety of sauces on you spaghetti or other kind of pasta, from the typical meatball to the delicate lemon sauce...an unconventional taste and a true surprise for you palate. Main courses include a wide selection of meat and fish dishes with their genuine and traditional Mediterranean flavour.Vegetables not only accompany food but are also stuffed and grilled to create savoury vegetarian receipes and appetizers as only Italians can do.
